Our Terms and Conditions of Business

Our Terms and Conditions of Business are designed to protect both you and us by clearly stating in plain English exactly what you can expect of us and what we expect of you. Please read them carefully and ensure that you understand and agree to them before signing your order.

Orders are only accepted in accordance with our standard terms and conditions of business. These conditions may not be altered, except in writing by a Director of the Company.

When your order is complete we will call you to arrange delivery and fitting of your order. Your outstanding balance for the kitchen parts & materials less a retention of 5% is due in full upon delivery. Your installer will provide you with a separate invoice for his services, as this is not covered under our own contract.

You may cancel your order within seven days of ordering however as all orders are made to the customer’s individual requirements an order cannot be cancelled after this time unless the Company is in breach of its obligations to the customer.

We will try to install your order at a time to suit you. The company will do all it can to meet dates given for the delivery and/or installation. In the case of unforeseen circumstances, beyond the reasonable control of the Company, the Company will contact the customer and agree an alternative date for delivery /and or installation.

The only items that we have charged you for are those that are written on the order. Please ensure that all of the items that you require are clearly noted before you sign the order, as any additional items will be charged for accordingly.

The kitchen goods supplied by The Kitchen Door Workshop Ltd are guaranteed as a contractual obligation for a period of one year from the date of installation against defects resulting from defective materials and labour (except consumable items including light bulbs). Kitchen furniture (ie hinges, knobs, handles, units, doors etc) are guaranteed for the term as shown on your order form. Our guarantee is subject to the availability of an identical replacement item during the guarantee period and where a product is no longer available then we would endeavour to replace it with as close a match as possible, however our liability would extend only to the replacement of the faulty items. The procedure under this guarantee is that you must notify us in writing of your claim and issue it to our office at Maresfield within the required timescale. We are unable to cover consequential loss, misuse, neglect or accidental damage, or damage caused by customers’ own faulty appliances or environmental factors. Sinks, taps & appliances are guaranteed directly by the manufacturers who operate with their own service engineers. Appropriate care and cleaning instructions should be followed at all times.

Any claim by the customer for any shortages or damages must be notified to the company within a reasonable time after delivery. In order to avoid any confusion or delay notification should be made to the Company in writing or confirmed in writing.

High Gloss Doors are not scratch resistant and may not have a matching colour back (please refer to our sample door). Scratches etc on the surface of High Gloss Doors are not covered under our guarantee. Cabinets are not available in High Gloss Finishes. A suitable finish should be chosen by the Customer prior to ordering.

We are unable to guarantee an exact match between items due to the nature of the materials being used. This is particularly the case with timber and granite items, which are naturally subject to colour / grain variation.

Should any wall tiles fall off during the installation we will re fix them. We are unable to accept responsibility for replacing any broken tiles or for any making good of walls or decoration, except where the damage is deemed to be caused by the negligence of the installers recommended by ourselves. We will make good the damage or offer compensation, or pass details to our insurers.

Kitchen Door Workshop Ltd take responsibility for the work of our recommended installers ( we do not supply kitchens to be fitted by others) If a complaint arises concerning the installation then in the first instance you should contact ourselves. We undertake to ensure that the installer makes good any defects. If the installer is unable or unwilling to return to site within a reasonable time then we will provided an alternative installer.

At the end of the job we will remove all of the rubbish as described on your order. The kitchen will be left in a tidy state, however the kitchen may require further cleaning by the customer after installation. We do not offer a kitchen cleaning service, but can recommend a professional cleaning company if required at an extra cost.

The Kitchen Door Workshop does not offer an electrical or gas installation service. This is provided by specialist contractors who will provide a separate invoice and guarantee for their work. Any gas or electrical installations can only be carried out if your existing services are suitable and safe.

If it is necessary for the installer to return to the customers house after the initial installation has taken place, to cut plinths etc around new floor / wall coverings then a separate charge of £75 minimum will be made to cover travelling time and expenses. This money should be paid direct to the installer.

All goods supplied by the Kitchen Door Workshop shall remain the absolute property of the Kitchen Door Workshop until paid for in full by the customer.

The Kitchen Door Workshop reserves the right to cancel this order at any time, but will pay compensation to the customer at 5% pa interest on any monies paid to the Company.

Due to the limitations of any design system, final kitchen layouts may vary slightly from illustrations and plans provided.
Our lowest price guarantee applies when you issue us with a written quote for a made to measure kitchen, of the same quality, with the same specification & guarantees within seven days of your order from an alternative supplier so we are able to compare their specification, guarantees and price with our own.

Our 25% discount offer applies should you sign an order and pay the deposit at the time of initial survey. This discount applies to kitchen furniture only and does not apply to sinks, taps, appliances or the fitting price which is paid for separately.

Our payment terms are as follows

The deposit as described in your order can be paid by Cheque / Cash, or an approved Credit Card

The payment due on delivery which is also described in your order can be paid by Cheque / Cash or an approved Credit Card (3% will be added to Credit Card payments).

The final balance that represents 5% of the price of the kitchen parts and materials is due no later that fourteen days after delivery.
The fitting price will be invoiced separately by the installers and payment must be made directly to them by Cheque or Cash only.
